Life Bird!!!
I just saw a lifer!!! On my balcony!!! Eating seeds! It was a Yellow-throated Warbler - who, btw, is not supposed to eat seeds. Maybe he was actually eating insects that were crawling around the seeds. Yellow-throated Warblers should be hanging out in mixed pine & broadleaf forests near water, not on a fifth-floor balcony in the student ghetto in the middle of Gainesville. I think this one's a tad confused, but that's good for me - he was a beautiful little bird - blue-gray back and wings, bright yellow throat, white belly, white supercilium (eyestripe) and neck spot outlined in black... Oh my god, I'm so happy! :~D

you know, I wish random monkeys would come wander up to my window...my friend Nancy was telling me about the Diana monkeys that wonder around her window (in Nairobi) and I was so jealous!
